Photo of Christmas Lights

This has been a year like no other, and the last few months have not been easy for anyone. However, our wonderful community has come together to help each other, particularly those most in need.

Many events that we – as a community – had planned or were planning, had to be cancelled as restrictions and regulations changed.

Godmanchester Town Council, in conjunction with other local organisations, have been helping to brighten up our town, and the lights on so many residents’ houses brings much cheer at this (literally) dark time of the year with our Festival of Lights. We hope you have enjoyed the houses that have been decorated – and maybe have also joined in.

To add a little more festive cheer, the Council will be lighting up the Town Hall and Chinese Bridge from today. We hope that you will enjoy the display and will come along, in your own time, to see them.

Please remember why we are having the Festival this year, and follow the social distancing guidelines when you do to keep everyone safe.

We wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year as we enter 2021.
