A1307 Spittals to Fenstanton Biodiversity Improvements
I am writing to tell you that work continues to improve the biodiversity at 12 sites along the A1307 between Spittals Interchange and Fenstanton. The sites are in poor condition and require improvement to help them thrive. This will include rotovating the sites and planting new greenery to mature and grow over the coming months.
We plan to complete the work overnight on weeknights between 8pm and 6am, weather conditions permitting.
The next locations of work are detailed below:

Monday 13 February to Tuesday 14 February (1 night) | J24 Godmanchester – westbound lane 1 on the approach to J24, westbound exit slip road and westbound entry slip road |
Traffic to use the A1307 to Pathfinder Link Road, Huntingdon Ring Road then back onto the A1307 heading eastbound to exit on the J24 eastbound exit slip.

Tuesday 14 February to Wednesday 15 February
(1 night) |
J24 Godmanchester – eastbound lane 1 on the approach to J24, eastbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road |
Traffic will be diverted eastbound on the A1307 to junction 26 to loop back around and re-join the A1307 westbound.

Monday 20 February to Tuesday 21 February (1 night) | J23 Spittals Interchange – single lane closure on all approaches and roundabout |
No diversion required.

Thursday 23 February to Friday 24 February (1 night) | A1307 between J24 and 25 – eastbound lane 1 closure and westbound lane 1 closure |
No diversion required.

Friday 24 February to Tuesday 28 February
(2 nights –weekdays only) |
J25 Hemmingford Abbots – westbound lane 1 on the exit slip approach, westbound exit slip road and westbound entry slip road |
Traffic will be diverted along the A1307 to Godmanchester interchange, turn around and re-join the eastbound carriageway and exit at New Road for Hemingford Abbots.
For traffic coming from local roads (New Road, Rideaway) intending to join A1307 westbound, the diversion goes through Junction 26, turn around and re-join the westbound carriageway, followed yellow diverted traffic signs.

Tuesday 28 February to Wednesday 1 March

J26 St Ives – eastbound lane 1 on the exit slip approach, eastbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road |
Eastbound traffic will be diverted via St Ives Road, re-join the A1307 westbound to Godmanchester Interchange, turn around and re-join the A1307 eastbound.
Westbound traffic will be diverted along the A1307 to A14 Swavesey Northern Roundabout to turn around and re-join the A1307 to use the westbound J26 exit slip road. |
