A1 Brampton Hut Interchange traffic signals replacement

Please be advised there are plans to replace and upgrade the traffic signals on the A1/A141 Brampton Hut Interchange.

The plan is to complete these works over 3 weeks, between Monday 6 February and Friday 24 February. We will work between 8pm and 6am on weeknights only, weather conditions permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, the junction will operate either under temporary traffic lights or lane closures with the exception of Wednesday 15 February and Thursday 16 February where a full road closure will be required.

On Wednesday 15 January, westbound traffic will be diverted back east along the A141 to Spittals Interchange, then via the A1307, B1043 and join the A1 heading southbound. The eastbound diversion will be the same in reverse.

On Thursday 16 January, eastbound traffic will be diverted onto the A1 to the Alconbury junction to turn around and come back along the A1.
