Due to tree branches across the footpath to Portholme, an access point has been created on the Portholme side of the obstruction. People can still access Portholme from the recreation ground via a footpath through the Osiers beds.
The footpath starts at the sluice bridge and people are able to come off the footpath at either side of the barrier.
Therefore there will be no access to and from Portholme (footpath at the sluice bridge and the canoe point at the other side) from Friday 15 May until further notice whilst maintenance work is carried out.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
