Deputy Town Clerk Salary Range SCP 18-23 Starting Salary SCP 18 – 20 £24,313-£25,295 (pro-rata) 28 HOURS PER WEEK Godmanchester Town Council are a forward-thinking Council at the centre of a thriving community. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Deputy Clerk to join our busy team. The position involves fully supporting the Town Clerk in her duties, and the elected Council to achieve its aims. The post is initially for 28 hours per week and will include occasional attendance at evening meetings. Candidates will be required to demonstrate sound administrative experience, good IT skills and the ability to work with the community. The selected individual needs to be a skilled communicator, have a positive approach to their work, be a good team player and be able to adapt to the changing needs of this dynamic role. They will be required to work towards their CILCA qualification, if they do not already have it. The position is based at the Town Hall in Godmanchester, but some local travelling may be required.
